Comparison of 1st Stage Kit
US Divers Aqualung 1st Stage Kit
*this is NOT a product, this is my "two cents" worth of info
This page compares the following 1st Stage Kits: #900000 - #900001 - #RG911115
The Regulators covered by
- #900000 - Cousteau, Spectrum, SEA
- #900001 - Titan, Conshelf, SE3, SE2, 22,21,20, XVI, XII
- RG911115 - Cousteau, Spectrum, SEA, Titan, Titan <09, Conshelf, SE3, SE2, SE, 22,21,XVI
Essentially the RG kit covers all models and has parts not needed in other 1st stages.
*Note - Aqua Lung has maintained "Almost" identical first stage parts for all first stages from the late 1960's until today. You can rebuild many double hose regulators from common core components, and you can re-build a modern Cousteau, Titian, Legend, other regulator. The High Pressure Seat, the Diaphragm, etc parts have not changed much aside from modern material, yet size/shape has not changed.
Consider small changes like older first stages did NOT have a removable "crown" orifice, then they made an insert crown orifice that now needs an o-ring. The upgraded 1st stage kit with removable orifice will then need a new size o-ring. Or consider the old style "flat filter" that fits double hose and a modern regulator, and you will find they have not changed, but they make a Cup Filter, a Short Cone and a Long Cone Filter....
These are ONLY Suggestions for the qualified or experienced regulator service technician to consider, and NOT to suggest you should alter any regulator with other parts!
